Roosday-Tuesday — Wherein Our Hero is a Couch-Licker

Hey there internet dogs!  Rufus here with some more of my worldly advice and ways to drive your mom crazy!  The topic for today is couch licking.  Don’t walk away so soon!  This is actually a lot of fun.

What is couch licking?  Well, pups, it’s just like it sounds.  You lick the couch.  You lick it a lot.  It tastes good.  It drives your mom crazy.  What could be more fun for a dog?  I mean besides eating shoes and getting treats, of course.

MMMM, treats.  I mean…let’s get started!  Step one is to lick the couch.  Lick it a lot.  Leave a big huge wet spot.  Make sure you stay with the spot though…you don’t want your mom to think you peed there.  It should look something like this:

See how I’m staying with the spot?  This is key.  Mom knows that I licked this big spot.  You don’t want to get in trouble for peeing.  The key is too annoy, not get in trouble.

Now, on to Step 2.  When you here your mom (or dad) coming, start licking again.  You’re trying to get caught in the act.  When mom walks in and catches you, make this face:

It’s the classic, “I’m busted,” face.  Mom’s fall for it every time!  Now she’s going to start scolding you.  Here’s where you really get to work your puppy magic.  Pull out the, “I feel so guilty for licking the couch please love me and give me treats,” face.  Like this:

No mom (or dad) can resist that face.  You’ll get a nice cuddle and be told not to do it again!  It’s awesome.  You get to be naughty, make a mess, taste the couch, and get away with it!  What could be better.  Now, go try it and let me know how it goes!
